Make Your Own Ring with a Gemstone
- Saturday or Sunday (12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.)
- By arrangement on a weekday, for groups of 3 or more people
- €125,- per persoon (excl. materiaal)
Take a workshop in The Hague and design, solder, and set a gemstone into a unique silver ring yourself.
We'll use a small silver plate to design a basic ring shape and craft it to fit your finger.
Next, Poelie will talk about various silverworking techniques, and then we’ll solder a decorated silver band onto the base ring.
Soldering is always a fun and exciting activity, and this is a great way to get started with this technique, which is particularly well-suited for goldsmithing.
Next, we’ll solder a setting in the spot where you want the gemstone to go, and Poelie will help you “set” the gemstone into that setting. After that, you can show off the ring you made yourself with the gemstone.
Program & Rates
- Time: 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., Saturday or Sunday (see agenda)
- The workshop is taught by an experienced silversmith with more than 25 years of experience teaching courses and workshops.
- Suitable for both beginners and advanced users
- Intensive personal guidance
- You can choose only 1 gemstone
- Coffee, tea, and a treat & a delicious lunch
- Use of all tools
- Do not bring your own silver
- Workshop fee: €125 per person
- This does not include the cost of the ring's (silver) material or the gemstone. Expect to pay an additional €25 to €60. The exact amount depends on the final weight of the ring and the gemstone you choose.
- A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 people
- By arrangement, also available on weekdays (min. 3 people)

Terms and conditions
- Once you've paid a deposit of €25, your registration is confirmed, and you must transfer the remaining balance of €100 one week before the workshop.
- If you cancel more than 2 weeks in advance, you will receive a refund; after that, the fee will be retained if you cancel the workshop in the meantime.
- Participation in the workshop is entirely at your own risk.
- If you're coming with a group, this will still be a “Make Your Own Ring with a Gemstone” workshop for everyone; it cannot be combined with other workshops.

The studio is located on Gerard Doustraat, in the center.

- Tram 6, Vaillantlaan stop, stops right outside the door.
- Tram 2, 3, and 4 stop MCH Westeinde 6 min walk.
