Make Stacking Rings in The Hague
What is a stackable ring?
Stackable rings are narrow, subtle bands that you can combine endlessly. Wear them next to your favorite ring to create a unique, personal combination, or opt for a single ring for a minimalist look. By playing with different shapes, materials, and textures, you can give your jewelry a fresh new look over and over again.
During this fun workshop you will make your own unique set of silver stacking rings. You will learn the basics of silversmithing step by step and get to work with different types of silver wire and techniques. At the end of the workshop you will go home with a beautiful, handmade ring set that is easy to combine with your own jewelry, and you will have been introduced to the special craft of silversmithing.

Take a workshop in The Hague and design & make your own set of stacking rings out of silver.
You start with an explanation by Poelie about the materials and techniques we are going to use. Then you choose from different types of silver wire: square wire, half-round or round wire, or twisted wire.
You can also choose from pre-formed (silver) pearl wire, floral wire, or egg wire.
These look very nice with other rings, but please keep in mind that these rings are slightly less creative to make and that the price per gram of silver is also different than for the previously mentioned standard silver wires.
Next, you will get to work! You will learn how to size, saw, file, solder, texture, and polish the ring.
In this workshop, you will make 2 or 3 homemade silver rings, each with your own finish.
And you've immediately been introduced to the goldsmithing trade!
The workshop takes about 3 hours and you will go home with a set of stacking rings that are easy to combine.
The total group can be made up of various registrations of a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 12 people.
