What is a diabolo ring?
The base ring is shaped like a diabolo (hollow), so that the rings you create around it — and design yourself, of course — can spin freely. Many people find that playing with these spinning rings gives them a sense of calm and relaxation.

Take a workshop in The Hague and design and craft your own unique silver Diabolo Ring.
Looking for a creative and fun activity to do with friends, family, or coworkers? During this workshop, you’ll be introduced to jewelry making and create your own silver diabolo ring — a lasting memento of a fun afternoon.
You’ll start with a basic inner band, and then you’ll design and shape the outer band yourself. Using various silverworking techniques and with Poelie’s personal guidance, you’ll create a ring that perfectly matches your personal style! You don’t need any experience at all — just a desire to create something beautiful and enjoy a fun afternoon!
You can register individually, as a pair, or as a group. We work in small groups (max. 6 people) to ensure plenty of attention and guidance. The atmosphere in the workshops is always very enjoyable, even if you don’t know each other.
Prefer to come with a group of 3 or more on a weekday? That's possible! Feel free to send an email with your preferred date, and we'll look at the options together.
Program & Rates
- Time: 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., Saturday or Sunday (see agenda)
By arrangement on a weekday - The workshop is taught by an experienced silversmith with more than 25 years of experience teaching courses and workshops.
- Suitable for both beginners and advanced users

- Coffee, tea, and a tasty snack & a delicious lunch
- Use of all tools
- Do not bring your own silver
- Workshop fee: €125 per person
- Excluding the cost of the silver used for the base ring and the rotating top ring(s): Expect to pay an additional €25 to €50. The exact amount depends on the final weight of the ring.
- A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 people

Terms and conditions
- Once you've paid a deposit of €25, your registration is confirmed, and you must transfer the remaining balance of €100 one week before the workshop.
- If you cancel more than 2 weeks in advance, you will receive a refund; after that, the fee will be retained if you cancel the workshop in the meantime.
- Participation in the workshop is entirely at your own risk.
- If you're coming with a group, it will still be a “Make Your Own Silver Diabolo Ring” workshop for everyone; combining it with other workshops is not possible.

The studio is located on Gerard Doustraat, in the center.
